Course Information
Upon the succesful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant course, students are eligible to take the NNAAP test. This test assesses the minimum competence of student to perform the job of geriatric aide safely and effectively..

Course Details
- Applies one knee-high elastic stocking
- Assists with use of bedpan
- Counts and records radial pulse
- Dresses client with affected (weak) right arm
- Gives modified bed bath (face, one arm,etc)
- Measures and records urinary output
- Provides mouth care
- Assists to ambulate using transfer belt
- Cleans upper or lower denture
- Counts and records respiration’s
- Feeds client who cannot feed self
- Measures and records blood pressure
- Provides foot care on one foot
- Provides perineal care (Peri-Care) for female
